maybe people don't really have roots
and they are not meant to have.
maybe we all are
just rootless wanderers
in an endless world
with reckless hearts
impossible to lock in cages;
this is why they are killing the spirit
so they can leave us empty. to make room for the fear they are willing to pour inside.
to force our hearts to settle. to see the danger instead of the beauty.
to give us roots and cut the wings, so we won't ever fly.
